Preparation

  1. In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the gnocchi according to the package directions until they rise to the surface.
  2. Drain.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the bacon for 5 to 7 minutes over medium heat, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove excess fat from the pan, taking care to reserve 15 ml (1 tablespoon).
  5. Place the bacon on a plate lined with paper towels.
  6. In the same skillet, cook the garlic for 30 seconds.Add the broth, cream, thyme, and, if desired, chili flakes.
  7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  8. Add the cheese and stir until melted.
  9. Add the gnocchi and bacon to the sauce.
  10. Season with pepper.
  11. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

  • 2 packages of gnocchi, 500 g each
  • 6 slices of bacon, cut into pieces
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) minced garlic
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) chicken broth
  • 250 ml (1 cup) 15% cooking cream
  • 5 ml (1 teaspoon) chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 small package of mozzarella cheese
  • Pepper to taste
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) chopped fresh parsley
